Awards
The award for being the oldest Dawson attending the reunion went to Jeff Gordonwood (Manley line) He says: I was proud to be the oldest one there and could have given the young ones some guidance. I would have said that I am the oldest and in pretty good health because of the genes from J. B. Dawson, the love of the great outdoors and because I lived through the Great Depression---we were poor as church mice--I didn't have money to buy cigarettes or whiskey and when the depression eased up I was old enough to know better than to start those habits even though I lived in Kentucky where tobacco was the main crop and Bourbon was famous.
The award for being the youngest went to Savannah Faith, 3 years old (Laura line, Steele and Stephanie Cary).
The award for traveling the farthest when to Dane Bolding (Si line) who came from Maine.
